Why I made these
I am a conservation biologist living in Queensland. This year I set off on a lap of Australia to see and record as many wild animals as I could.
These cards hold the animals I love most, so kids can learn them one card at a time and maybe go and find them in the wild too.

Questions
How do I get my cards?
After payment, we email you a download link to the PDF. Most orders arrive within minutes. Please allow up to 2 hours, and check your spam folder.
How big are the cards?
63 × 88 mm, the size of a standard playing card, so normal card sleeves fit. There are nine cards on each A4 page.
What paper should I use?
Thick paper or light card (200–250 gsm) works best. Print at 100% or “actual size”. On US Letter paper, choose “actual size”, not “fit to page”.
Do the cards have backs?
Yes. Print the card back page on the reverse of each sheet, or print it separately and glue it on.
Is a complete deck the same as all its small decks?
Yes. Each complete deck has every card from its region. The small decks are groups of those cards. If you want more than two small decks from one region, the complete deck is better value.
What ages are they for?
Kids from about 5 can play the sorting games with a grown-up. From about 8, kids can read the cards and play every game on their own. Adults like them too.
Are the facts accurate?
The facts come from my Wildlife Nomads books and were checked against government, museum and scientific sources. Conservation statuses can change, so see iucnredlist.org for the latest. Dinosaur sizes and dates are estimates from fossils.
Can teachers use them in class?
Yes. Your purchase covers one classroom, so you can print copies for your own students. Please don’t share the file or post it online.
Will there be more decks?
Yes. More regions and themes are on the way. They will all live on this page.
Is anything posted to me?
No. These are digital PDFs that you download, then print at home or at a print shop.
